Welcome to my private collection of over 7000 classic football matches, stretching all the way back to the late 50's right up until today!!
I am based in England and all my recordings are 99% recorded from British TV with English commentary. I'm not interested in having games with foreign commentary or poor quality games just for the sake of having the game. I like to be able to sit down and enjoy the games myself.
I recorded my first game back in the 1979-80 season, which was the FA Cup 6th Round game, West Ham v Aston Villa. I am a massive West Ham United fan, hence West Ham having its own section on the site.
My whole collection started with me recording every West Ham game that was on TV from that Aston Villa game onwards. Recording the highlights that were shown on the BBC's 'Match Of The Day' and ITV's classic football show with Brian Moore 'The Big Match'.
Things just moved on with me recording other games too including World Cup's, other Internationals, plus other big European games and various other non West Ham games featuring English teams.
I also started for some reason recording every 'Match Of The Day' programme for about three season's in the early 90's. So basically my collection grew and grew and grew.
Over time i have had contact with other collectors from around the world, where now we trade games on a regular basis, building up our collections.
One of my aims is too have, the full game from every World Cup Finals, in English, from the 1966 Finals right up to thethe latest World Cup In South Africa.
I would say at the moment i have about 90% of them, but i'm adding to it at least once a month.
My personal favourites are games from the 1970's & early 80's. I don't think you can beat watching the old classic programmes like 'The Big Match', 'The Kick Off Match' and 'Match Of The Day'.
They bring back so many happy memories of watching football when i was a kid, as we only had mostly highlights of games and only three or four 'live' games per season.
I strive on the quality of the recordings, and try to collect the best quality image/sound as possible. I won't list a game for the sake of it, just so its in my collection. You will find other collectors do this, but i can assure you that all my games are of great watchable quality.
My collection is growing on a daily basis, so this site is always changing with new games being added all the time.
